Publicenter Introduces the RFID Card with Hole or Slot
Publicenter has developed an RFID card (High Frequency 13.5 MHz) equipped with a hole or slot, which can be conveniently worn with a lanyard or other support, leaving the hands of the users completely free. The hole or slot can be positioned at the center of the long side, the short side, or in the corner of the card, making it versatile and adaptable. This project, initially created for a prominent cruise line company, is actually suitable for multiple applications.
Cruise ships, resorts, and hospitality operators must manage a large number of people every year, requiring meticulous organization to ensure the safety and peace of mind of their guests. It is essential to implement an access control system that allows for the identification of personnel and guests, monitoring their movements and access to accommodations, areas, and activities, while ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
The Publicenter RFID card is the ideal tool to achieve these objectives. It not only serves as an identification and access control instrument, but its innovative design allows it to be attached to clothing using a clip or connected to special lanyards with particular hooks. This way, the card can be easily worn or hung, providing a practical and convenient means of identification.
Additionally, the RFID card is multifunctional, serving not only as an identification and access control tool but also as a means of accessing services and activities or functioning as a payment method. The RFID card is suitable for numerous applications, including:
• Identification of guests and staff,
• Monitoring and control of access points and rooms/cabins,
• Providing real-time data on the location and movements of personnel,
• Verifying the presence of guests before departure or within the facility,
• Integration with the surveillance network to enhance security,
• Enabling payments for various services such as bars, shops, and more.
The card can be initially pre-printed with graphic elements directly by Publicenter. Once received, these cards can be personalized on-site using a card printer, such as the CIM Sunlight Saturn printer. This allows for the addition of details such as the guest's name and photo, room or cabin number, and other relevant information to ensure a personalized and secure experience. The ability to customize cards on-site allows operators to quickly manage guest needs and respond to any last-minute changes or requests.
The use of RFID cards for access control combines security, convenience, and versatility, making it perfect for various sectors of tourism and entertainment, and beyond.
