Publicenter is pleased to announce that its line, a wide range of contactless, dual interface and hybrid cards, now includes a new environmentally-friendly product: a Contactless Smart Card with PET-G card body, an innovative material that is completely recyclable. 

PET-G is a “PET” molecule modified with glicol “G”, which imparts greater softness, and at the same time, higher strength.

PET-G is considered to be an environmentally-friendly material and a great alternative to PVC. Thanks to the absence of chlorine it can be completely recycled, causing no pollution to the environment. In addition, it has a short ecological payback period. These properties make  PET-G the ideal material for companies in which environmental friendliness is high on the list of priorities.

In addition, PET-G has good physical and mechanical properties, the material performs extremely well, during the personalization process and cards made with this material can be varnished or laminated.

RFID is one of the most innovative technologies used to provide a unique identifier for a specific object. RFID smart cards work using an embedded antenna that is connected to a chip to transfer data stored in the memory of the chip to a remote computer. Information can be read and also stored on the chip. A significant advantage of the RFID smart card, is that the RFID card does not need to be introduced into the acceptor device, it only needs to be waved within a range of a radio frequency according to the acceptor device requirements.
